We will be accepting proposals from sponsors or hosts of other events or fun days with large enough (minimum field 300' by 300'), safe or fenced spaces. If you are serious and have a committed group of at least 30 dogs and would like to host lure coursing please contact us with details about your event and space.

Please pay at the door for this event.

Very little training is required for most dogs. Lure coursing involves chasing a mechanically operated lure around a field at high speed. If a dog is lure-focused they will typically follow the lure from start to finish. Dogs should be in good physical condition to participate in our monthly lure coursing play days.

Many, many breeds do well at this sport, it is not limited to sight hounds. About 85% of dogs will chase the lure. A few dogs will not chase it the first time but may learn with repeated exposure. It depends on the individual. If your dog likes to run and to chase things, it is likely that lure coursing could be the next line on your dog's resume.

Our field is surrounded by 80' tall cliffs on 3 sides and a creek on the 4th side. The lure course track is surrounded by 3' tall fencing. There is one opening at the entrance.
